TGIF!

I am vowing to myself to keep my blog alive and to post regularly from now on!

I am THRILLED that Riley Blake Designs  is now carrying My Minds Eye designs on fabric! I can't wait to whip up some goodies using them. They are definitely Too Cute! The Sew Cherry line is to die for...well, they're all pretty fabulous. It's hard to choose but I'm gonna try and shop with some restraint. Wish me luck!

If you need something to inspire you, you'll definitely want to check them out!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Stepping Out for the American Diabetes Association - for the kids

Our family took part in the ADA's Step Out for Diabetes walk from the state capitol this year.  It's been such an eye-opening experience since Katrina's diagnosis with type I diabetes that I hope to spread the word and advocate for these brave kids every opportunity I get!  Today kids can be healthy & happy and not limited by this illness - but it takes a concentrated effort - like the one today.  Have a great week everyone!

It's cooling off - quilting season's coming!

I love stitching rainy days away and now that it's cooling off, I look forward to stitching up some new table runners, wallhangings and a special quilt for my son. Runs With Scissors strip club this month is a beautiful batik quilt that I think will be just perfect.

Looking forward to the diabetes step out walk and holding little Katrina's hand as we walk in support of all the kids like her.  So many don't know anything about type 1 diabetes, me included, I hope we can help spread the word and help other children and families.

Have a great week!

It's been a BUSY week!

I attended the Stitching Sisters two day seminar here in Sacramento and that was fun & inspiring. I hooked up with some very nice gals and we team stitched lots of goodies. They had one Ellismo machine for four people so you stitched every fourth project. I enjoyed trying the free motion quilting Stipple designs Eileen Roche of DIME created. She and her sister Marie Zinno were fun and down to earth.....it was great to meet them. I left ultra-inspired & decided I really want to take things up a notch and grow things big time in the next year!

It was a great two days. I hope they come back to Sac.

Since it was so gorgeous this weekend, we took little Arlen to JB's Ranch to ride one of his ponies. Arlen had been looking forward to it for a long time and it was wonderful. I know he'll remember this for a long time. There was a llama who was very friendly! We had a great day enjoying the sunshine and making memories for the little one.
